Romelu Lukaku will have to be patient
If Romelu’s dream came true, he will have to be a bit patient before tasting first team football. In Belgium, some fans seem to be surprised about his situation, seeming to forget that Chelsea is amongst the top 10 clubs in the world. The offensive division is heavily loaded, and not with the weakest forwards ! Between the top belgia level and the top world level, there is a big gap that Romelu will have to close in the next couple of months. Training level is much higher, just that will help me to progress further, to adapt to the pace of the game.
AGed 18, he still have plenty of time, it’s just the beginning of his career. And if he would be eager to play regular games, he can still ne loaned later on, when he is accustomed to his new living environment and a new style of football.
His rise was so quick that some people were lead to believe he would continue on that pace… if he would have already been part of the 11, we might have wondered from which planet he came !
Romelu Lukaku trains for the first time with Chelsea
Romelu Lukaku trained for the very first time with Chelsea, although he has not been officially presented during a press conference. On Chelsea TV, we can see him jogging with Drogba et al, no doubt Romelu is thrilled.
Paperwork is not sorted out yet, so Romelu should not be able to take part to the next game.

It’s now official, Chelsea has signed Romelu Lukaku ! The amount of the transaction is unknown yet, but Romelu will have his dream come true at 18 years old : playing for Cheslea and train with his idol, Didier Drogba. More details later on.
